One Plus 7 Pro Review

The OnePlus 7 Pro is a high end smartphone launched 14th May. Being OnePlus 7′s big brother, coming with 5G, indeed the smartphone is big to hold, a 6.67 inches screen, weighs massive 200g, 8.8 mm in thickness and it’s coming with pop up selfie camera. It’s worth the wait in May 2019.

Coming with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and the new Oxygen OS 9.5 and 4000mAh.

Design and display

The OnePlus 7 Pro has a front and back curved glass finish with aluminum frame. Comes in different colour variants of Nebula Blue (which looks almost slippery), Almond and Mirror Grey. Coming in dimensions of 162 × 75 × 8.80mm and weighs 206g. Very weighty phone.

The display is very large, a 6.67″ inch FLUID AMOLED QHD+ screen with support for HDR 10+ content. The screen also gives a 4k video display. With resolution of 1440 × 3120 pixels and 516 ppi, with ratio of 19.5:9.

OS and Performance

The OnePlus 7 Pro is packed with the new OxygenOS 9.5, Android 9 pie . A massive 12GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage with no support for expandable storage. Has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC processor, Octa-core 1×2.84GHz Kyro 485, 3× 2.42GHz and 4× 1.80 GHz Kyro 485 processor type, with Adreno 640 GPU.


Comes with triple rear cameras of 48mp (f/1.6 aperture, 1.6-micron) + 16mp (f/2.2) + 8mp (f/2.4 aperture). The cameras pack a mediocre lowlights and 4k video performance. The 8mp has telephoto and 3x optical zoom feature, the 16mp offers good wide angle display and the 48mp captures landscapes in day and night, with dual LED flash for added brightness.

The OnePlus 7 Pro is a power house with 4000 mAh non-removable battery with with an endurance rating of 85h.

Truly a high end smartphone, can it compare with the Galaxy S10 Plus and Mate 20 Pro
